Facebook-How to Block Facebook Content From Specific Friend

As more and more people join social networking sites and Facebook in particular, you may be increasingly uncomfortable with how much of your information is out there for your "Friends" to see. Learn how to block specific profile content from individual Facebook friends so neither you nor your mom's best friend have to suffer the discomfort of her viewing the pictures from your last New Years Eve party or for the sheer satisfaction of preventing your ex from knowing just exactly what you've been up to.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to your Facebook homepage and place your curser on Settings.

    • 2

Three options will appear in a drop down menu. Click on Privacy Settings.

    • 3

Once on the Privacy Settings page, click on Profile, which is the first option.

    • 4

Now you will see a page that has general headings for all content on your Facebook Profile. You have the option of switching each piece of content to be visible to just people within you network, friends of friends, only friends, or to customize.

    • 5

Click on the customize option for whatever piece of content you would like to block. Work info and photos are common areas to customize viewership.

    • 6

Once you hit customize, you will have a screen that gives you more options for who you would like to be able to see that content. At the very bottom of this screen it gives you the option of putting in the name of a specific person you would like to block from that content. Put that person's name there and click OK.
