The Changcuters is a rock band from Bandung, Indonesia

History

Formed on 19 September 2005, The Changcuters' members are Mohammad Tria Ramadhani (a.k.a "Tria", vocalist), Muhammad Iqbal (a.k.a "Qibil", backing vocal and guitar), Arlanda Ghazali Langitan (a.k.a "Alda", guitar), Dipa Nandastra Hasibuan (a.k.a "Dipa", bassist), and Erick Nindyoastomo (a.k.a "Erick", drummer). Band members Dipa, Tria and Qibil went to the same university. They then inivited Alda and Erick, Qibil's band mates in senior high school, to join the band.

Their first album, called Mencoba Sukses, was released in 2006, followed by their second album (repackaged), Mencoba Sukses Kembali, released in 2008.

The Changcuters popularity rose after they starred in ‘’Flexi’’ advertisements. With the help of Uki (the guitarist of Peterpan and also their friend), The Changcuters signed to Sony BMG, and released their second album in 2008. In the same year, The Changcuters starred in a film, The Tarix Jabrix, whose soundtrack features songs from their second album.
